Our last website article on this highlighted the initiative by Yousef Sahib, one of our senior players, to raise funds for local charities and have a bit of fun along the way.
The initial target was to raise £500 for local food banks and distribute whatever was left to local charities including Hospice at Home and deserving causes at our local Hospital such as the Radiotherapy Patients amenities fund.
Well you've all gone for it in a big way.
As the hair has hit the deck, the money has poured in to the fund, and at the time of posting this article had hit the £8000 mark and rising .
Grateful thanks to you all for being so generous, to those taking part, and we know from the early recipients of funds distributed how much this means to them.
This weekend saw the fund jump by well over a £1000 as plenty of people have joined in including our Cougars Captain Laura Cunningham videoing her head shave, our Vice President Sue Glendinning, and the promise of our secretary David Morton getting involved has further stimulated donations. He'll brave the shave for 20 x £50 donations and we are almost half way there.
If you want to get involved then shave it off, take a picture, post it on your Facebook page and copy the link below to Yousef's justgiving page asking those splitting their sides at your misfortune to donate, and help charities desperately in need of our support.

Alternatively just have a laugh at the hairraising photoalbum posted on the website and donate anyway.
