Belper hit the ground running this season after narrowly missing out on the play offs last year and have occupied a space in the top four consistently this campaign. Harry Draper leads the way with nine goals in all competitions. After a superb last minute winner against Dunston having been 2-0 down, the Nailers have lost the last two games so progress has stalled a little. Belper are the only team in the division who haven’t drawn a league game so far, a record Carlton held for some of last season.
The Millers are eighth in the ladder but with only six points between them and fifth from bottom, the home side will be looking for more points here to maintain their unbeaten start in the league at home. Belper though have the second best away record in the division so another stern test for the Millers. Almost a year ago to the day did Carlton beat Belper 2-1 and a repeat of that result would see Carlton close the gap on their opponents and the rest in the play off spots.
