Having sacrificed their unbeaten home record in midweek after a narrow defeat to Belper, Carlton will be keen to get back to winning ways having now suffered two straight losses.
First time visitors to Stoke Lane, Heaton Stannington sit only two places and three points behind their hosts and are in steady form with three wins and a draw from the last six. But they lost 3-2 to Dunston in midweek and have only collected one away win so far this year from seven contests.
Carlton’s home record was ok but the aforementioned defeat midweek has tempered that but with the clash this weekend followed by another home game next Tuesday the Millers will hope to recover some of their recent good form which saw them undefeated in five before a week ago. Injuries are a concern but with returning players likely in the coming days plus a lighter schedule in November, Carlton should still be looking up rather than over their shoulder.
