Carlton continued their December rebuild following the poor run in November with a draw against Ashington last week. On the face of it, not a great result but having played with 10 men for almost an hour it was a point well earned and something to bring into this one.
In the reverse fixture, on the opening day of the season, Carlton ran out 1-0 winners and in this fixture last season, the home crushed their opponents 5-0 to claim their biggest win of the campaign.
Brid have double the amount of wins of the road than on home turf, with four, but have lost the last three in the league, only scoring once in that time so are struggling for form. Danny Earl tops the scoring charts with four, despite injuries impacting his season, and was on target twice here last year against Carlton for North Ferriby.
In the last two games, three of the last four Carlton goals have been goal of the season contenders but the management and supporters will doubtless take goals of any calibre here which ensure a win and enable the team to continue to recover their league position.
