Lane started the game really well, strong defence from Liam Openshaw, Kieran Purdy and Harry Wright forcing an early mistake from Leeds.
Despite some good team play from Corey Johnson, Kian Watson and Robbie Newton, lane were unable to capitalise on the field position.
This gave the Leeds side a lift and they punished some lazy defence to go up the field to score their first points.
Lane woke up and some big drives from Harry Philipson, Joshua Kear and Jack Firth paved the way for Johnson to send Lewis Flockton over to score.
From the kick off Purdy, Jae Priest and Johnson made good ground which allowed quick hands form Watson and Purdy for Lucas Sutton to score.
Lane were now on top and they managed their third try of the half when Ritchie Westwood and Johnson combined to find Firth in space to score. 12-4 to lane at half time.
Leeds scored on their first set in the second half after lane switched off at the kick off and closed the gap to two points.
Lane got going again through Harry Dodd and Euan Jones drives which gave space to Priest to make good ground. Westwood and Johnson then found firth who went over for his second try.
Corey Westwood, Jones and Dodd tackled well on the next Leeds set which saw them drop the ball, Sutton kicked it ahead, regathered and went the length of the field for a fine try.
Leeds had the last say with another score after lane were guilty of giving too many penalties away in the final stages. Final score 22-14 to lane.
