Panthers 14 - 28 Moldgreen

After a good win last Sunday the Castleford Panthers form went out of the window against title contenders Moldgreen. The Panthers got off to a very slow start after conceding 3 back to back tries in quick succession. As the match progressed the Panthers got more into the game and showed a lot of promising attacks. However their defence was very weak on the day and if it wasn't for Simon Billingsley it could have been a very high score line as the Moldgreen players broke the line multiple times. After half time, the Panthers came out of the gates flying and played very well in an attempt to try and tighten the score line. Charlie Barker scored two magnificent tries trying to achieve this, but unfortunately it wasn't enough. Half back Brad Westwood struggled after his devostating collision with a Moldgreen player which led to him being knocked out for at least 5 minutes. Grantos Newby made plenty of brilliant runs, breaking the line multiple times and was awarded with the opposition man of the match.
