After 6 weeks of intense training and trial games. This years #CebuDragons coach, Noel Flowers and the Cebu Dragons selection committee announced the team to compete in the two day #Manila10s International Tournament that will run from March 21-22.

Focused on their goals to develop local rugby talent and create a larger interest in the sport. The committee chose to select a number of players who graduated from its Youth Rugby development program and are now eligible to play for the men's Team. One member who stood out from the development group is David Quimjot (AKA "son of slug"), and stands below 5 ft. "He played himself into the team" said Noel Flowers. He never backed down from tackling or being tackled by the bigger guys during the trials and he is a great example to other developing players that in rugby, the size of one's heart on the field can be stronger than your usual larger player.

The team includes experienced players to the event with the likes of Marlou Luceno, Geoffrey Veraces, Peter Sawal, Daryl Alcantara, Hilary Corban, William Harris, Junerey Boybanting and they will be boosted by hard hitting members of the Paradise Hunters team, Napoleon Ilofa, Winston Maniat and Lamech Abel.

The Manila 10s was the first-ever rugby tournament held in the Philippines and is dubbed by ESPN as the best social rugby tournament in the world. In 2014, The Manila 10s featured 36 international teams in 4 divisions of varying skill levels (Cup, Plate, Bowl, and Shield) as well as a separate veteran’s division for teams featuring only player’s over-35.

Playing in the veterans division will be Cebu Dragons Noel Flowers and Jerry Branzuela, who will be playing for the Extinct Volcanoes which is comprised of former Philippine Volcano national players that are above the age of 35. #OldSchool
