Following the returns of Pond and Butlin, Mitch Clarke is our latest signing for the new season as he returns to Church Street from neighbours, Rushall Olympic.

Mitch spent the 22/23 season with us but his season was hampered by a couple of injuries. He left to join Rushall and had a hugely successful season and was a mainstay in their side that managed to beat the drop from Step 2. A fantastic achievement.

Mitch also featured against us in the Walsall Senior Cup final at the end of the season.

On his new man, Mark Swann said, “Mitch has always been on our radar and we kept in touch throughout his time away from the club. He was a key target this summer and as soon as we knew there might be an opportunity we were keen to secure his signature. Quite rightly, Mitch had some very good offers from Step 2 and 3 clubs so we are delighted he has chosen to return to Chasetown. He is dominant and commanding, and is comfortable playing at centre back or centre midfield. He rejoins us off the back of a very good season at Rushall and will really strengthen us for the new season”.
