The fall was a turning point in the True South conference when both Knoxville and Nashville took down mighty Nooga Red and staked claim to Chattanooga's throne.

Early in the fall Knoxville hosted Chattanooga at Possum Park and came out banging! With aggression on both sides of the ball, the ability to spread it [and score] wide, and the addition of new players and a new offense, everything seemed to click as they handed Chattanooga an all around beating. This spring the Possums come to Montague and with the opportunity to knock NoogaRed out of the playoffs, we fully anticipate Knoxville to travel fully kitted and we expect their fans to come down in droves as well.

The 18 point loss sustained last fall, and the loss to Nashville later on in the fall as well, means Chattanooga has to defeat Knoxville by 19+ just in case there is a tie for the playoffs and it comes down to head-to-head scores and/or points.

Both teams know the stakes and know what they have to do to; this weekend we'll bear witness to a highly anticipated match, one that's been long overdue between these two squads.
