First event of the season and we had a full squad including some of the boys stepping it up a gear from last year. Pool A drew us against Bognor, Horsham and Pulborough with the pool places playing the equivalent placed team in Pool B for the final results.

Our start against Bognor was quick - so quick infact I hadn't made it from my chair to the touchline before we'd scored our first try from the kick off! The boys continued in the same fashion until the whistle blew for half time with us 5-0 up. A minute into the 2nd half we were 6-0 up but sadly a Bognor injury called the game to a halt leaving us with the 6-0 win.

Horsham were dispatched in pretty much the same fashion, lovely rugby by our boys to get past an emerging Horsham side with some big lads. 5-0 the final score.

Pulborough were last up in the pool and all Chi players were now in the groove and it was a pretty seemless display, 5-0 winners.

Pool B champs were Hove so it was a familiar Hove v Chi battle for the title. A scrappy first half with errors and wasted chances was disappointing for us against a very pumped up and physical Hove. A good focused half time chat (lecture) from the coaches did the trick and we came out knowing what we had to do. Tries started to flow, despite some pretty brutal defense from the opposition, and we ran away with the second half with 4 tries, to a convincing win 4-0.

20 tries scored, 0 tries scored against. Doesnt get much better than that.
