Green U9 – The ‘Greens’ are managed by Ben, with amazing support from Tom and Lee. The team have enjoyed a cracking season with lots of development individually but also as a team.
With 11 in the squad, 9 of which have been together since u7 and its lovely to see then become great friends. Bayley and Teo joined at the start of the season and have fitted in perfectly.
Teo has joined Flynn in the ‘shadow’ Brighton Academy team which is great for them personally.
There has been some injuries and operations this year as well. Firstly, Sam underwent an eye operation and was out for 6 weeks but has come back stronger than ever! Kobie currently out for a similar duration, this time recovering from a broken arm sustained at school and he will be back with us in the coming weeks which is great.
The Greens play Barnham Red in the U9 Margaret & Peter Saywell Cup final on April 28th to round off the season!
White U9 – The ‘Whites’ are managed by Ben, but most football matters are run by Robbie, with the assistance of Colleen.
With a squad of 10, 6 have been with us since u7, Leo and Rupert joined in u8, and Jimmy and Char at the start of this season.
The team are competitive in every match and training session they do and great fun to be a part of. They have really taken to the 7-side format well are starting to settle into their preferred positions.
Mark spent a few weeks away with a health issue and has come back firing on all cylinders, but apart from that team availability has been great.
The Whites play Petworth Panthers in the U9 Kathy & Peter Wilson Cup final on April 28th to round off their season!
Well done to all of the boys and good luck for the Finals!
