This weekends fixture against Yateley United was a must win game. Not only would it give us our first points of the season, but lift the moral of the team after a poor set of results at the start of the season.

Im not saying that we have played appallingly because we haven't, we've actually played quite well, especially in the unfortunate loss against Chessington FC, in the Cup!

Chiddingfold start the game full of composure, (excluding Jack Williams who couldn't control the ball to save his life) and we were creating plenty of space all over the pitch, which was giving us plenty of time to get a feel of the game. Within the first 10 minutes, one of our most influential players, Josh Harman, strikes the ball with plenty of swazz, only to be blocked within the box by a hand of a Yateley United player!! The referee blows his whistle and Chiddingfold FC have a penalty. Sam Harman steps up and sends the keeper the wrong way, the net ripples after a very well placed penalty and the crowd of 7 cheer!

This lead was short lived after Josh Harman was dispossessed on outskirts of our box, which then lead to a very well struck shot and lobbed our 3ft 5 stand in keeper, Ben Cozens. This was a very undeserved goal as Chiddingfold had most of the possession and were creating most of the chances!

Konnor Munt was having the game of his career for Chiddingfold FC! Creating havoc down the right hand side and was embarrassing their left back with some incredible footwork, some say it was witchcraft, others say it was planned... and when I say others...just Konnor Munt.

We were yet to brake the deadlock, struggling to find that key to fit the lock, but the key was found as Jack Williams got hold of the ball inside the Yateley half, turning one man and then saw OB Yates make a very deadly run in between their CB and LB into the box. A 30 yard pass from our very own Pirlo, Jack Williams, found OB Yates perfectly, put on a silver platter for him in fact! OB Yates' connection, wasn't great, but he still managed to slot the ball past the keeper.

Second Half

Yateley United were completely all over us in the second half, creating chance after chance. We couldn't get it together for at least 20 minutes, and that cost us dearly. Yateley United scored making it 2-2.

Our main outlet, Konnor Munt was making a threatening run down the right hand side, which was cut short by a very well timed tackle. The ball was now in Yateley's possession. The ball was passed to Yateley's LB and Konnor Munt dispossessed their LB with a great slide tackle, the ball then went out of play and while Konnor Munt washout to get up, he was met with a disgusting stamp from Yateley's left back straight into his stomach. The whistle is blown and only a yellow card was produced for the LB who was very lucky not to see red.

Yateley score again and with only a short amount of time left on the clock for Chiddingfold, it was unlikely that a result could be grasped at.

The final whistle blows and Chiddingfold losing run, continues.
