over the last few weeks town have had a few players depart after what looked like a strong squad for the season ahead,however with only 7 league games ricky cross and tommy street moved to greenwood meadows in the emcl.This wasnt ideal as town were already missing a few players for their game against unity and ended up with town only having a bare 11 so when keeper ivanov was injured in the first 10 minutes we knew we had all on and so it proved as he couldnt continue for the second half then croft was also unable to continue and town played 20 minutes with 9 men.
the following game town played gedling southbank in the cup and came away with a 5-2 victory.Again town were in disarray as cooper and young ash webster also signed for greenwood.So the romanys went to hetley pearson ground to play beeston with a very young side and added jack hutchby to their ranks who previously played for our u19s,The game finished 2-2 but could of been a lot different if town had took their chances however on the plus side our young squad didnt dissapoint and their are a few more additions to follow as training has provided us with yet more players interested in joining the club,theres a good balance of experience and youth now plus players returning from holidays,work and injury.
