Notwithstanding the statements released by myself on behalf of this Club, it is with regret
that the Club is continuing to get un-necessary and unwarranted negative attention as a result
of the clip posted on social media.

We are also aware that members and the wider community are re-tweeting the clip and
posting their own comments. As much as we appreciate that people are entitled to an opinion and free speech, we humbly ask that we do not jump to any conclusions as to what occurred without a full investigation.

In this regard we want to inform our members that the matter has now been brought to the
attention of both the Rugby Football Union, our governing body, and also to the police.

In light of the above the member has been suspended pending a full investigation. In addition as mentioned in my last statement and with a heavy heart the Club has been closed and will remain closed until the matter is resolved.

I repeat the sentiments of my first statement and take pride in the culturally diverse Club that
we have formed both in terms of its players and the community support. Chingford Rugby
Club has one of the most diverse senior squads in the league and we will continue to support
community cohesion and will take a robust action against racism and any other forms of discrimination.
