Some weeks ago many club members sponsored me to walk 26 miles in memory of Dan Garraway and in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. This took place from Salisbury on May 11th and I am pleased to say that I, with past club captain Jonathan Garraway and his sister Allison completed the marathon and in fact walked 27.1 miles. In doing this we jointly raised £2695 and with club members and friends help I raised £1,295 of this total. This it appears is in the top ten percent of fund raisers for this event.

We have not had the final number from Alzheimer's for this event but they expect to have raised circa £0.5million.
