It all starts on Friday night when Chippenham Walking Rugby (sponsored by North Wiltshire Crematorium) are playing at home and welcome Melksham Walkers - 6.30pm start. This will be a cracking start to the weekend and will end up in the bar talking about when we could run with the rugby ball. The Club will be showing the Newcastle v Bath semi-final match on the Big Screen.
UPDATE - Sadly the Brigands have been unable to arrange a team, so the Cavaliers home match is now postponedOn Saturday, the Rugby starts with Chippenham Cavaliers hosting Berkshire Brigands to a Mixed Ability match at midday. This will be the first time we've welcomed the Brigands to Allington Fields and we're sure they will have a great time.
Then, Chippenham U15 Boys are taking on Millfield School U15s in a friendly match on the AGP and this will be a big game between two skillful sides.
Chippenham 1sts will then take to the AGP in a key league match against our friends from down the A350, Trowbridge RFC. This will be a Wiltshire derby to savour as Chippenham sit in 2nd and Trowbridge in 3rd place in the Regional 2 Severn League and both sides need to win this to maintain a promotion hunt on Drybrook. Chippenham could do with the win and a try bonus point and shall be stacking the odds in this game with a strong squad.
Chippenham 2nds are on a run of wins and in a great mood as they travel over to Royal Wootton Bassett 2nds on Saturday 2.30pm KO. This will bound to be a real test, with Bassett sitting at the top of the table after an impressive season but Chippenham are determined to get a positive performance and deserved points out of this game that will contribute to them staying in this league.
