The first half was a tentative affair but Chipperfield had the edge and went close on a couple of occasions but went 1-0 down on 21 minutes from the penalty spot. Half Time 1-0 to Cuffley.

Chipperfield equallized 5 minutes into the second half when Henry Hadaway clotted home from close range. Chipperfield Corinthians continued to be on the edge but went behind on 69 minutes. A poor back header left keeper Stuart Beddall one on one. The attacker put the ball past Stuart and then went over him. The Referee judged that this was a deliberate block and not a tackle and a penalty was awarded and Stuart was sent off. Cuffley converted and Chipperfield went down to 10 men.

However Chipperfield bounced back and Adrian Abramian put them level on 74 minutes. Chipperfield still looked the more likely to score and were unlucky not to get the winner in stoppage time when a one-on-one with the keeper went agonizingly past the post.
