President Wilf Blezard honoured at end of season awards

Once again our senior end of season awards ceremony was a huge success this weekend.

We handed out awards and recognised the achievements of our U18s, Ladies, Reserves and 1st Teams for the 23/24 season.

We also thanked Cookie and Zolly before they now step down as 1st team managers and Mick Hayhurst who having seen his group through from U5 to U18s steps down as U18s manager.

In addition we welcomed our over 50s Walking footballers for the first time this year who hope to start playing competitively next season.

We also introduced our new club President Derek Ross who handed out the awards on the evening and we honoured our previous President Wilf Blezard, following his passing last year, by announcing the clubs ground will be re-named in his honour and presenting his family with a new sign.
Out Home ground will now be know as the Wilf Blezard Memorial Ground.

Thanks to Pete Bennett once again for the entertainment, Tim Slater for the catering and all the bar staff at Chipping village hall for helping things run smoothly.

Enjoy your break from football and we’ll see you all next season
