CODE OF CONDUCT


Section 4 - CODE OF CONDUCT (YOUTH PLAYERS)
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
As a player, you have a big part to play. That’s why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.
4.1 When playing football, I will:
• Always play my best for the benefit of my team
• Play fairly and be friendly
• Play by the rules, and respect the referee
• Shake hands with the other team at the end of the game regardless of result
• Listen carefully to what my coach/ team manager tells me
• Understand that the coach has to do what’s best for the
team
• Talk to someone I trust or the Club Welfare Officer (Jon Osborne) if I’m unhappy about anything at my club.
. Positively encourage my team mates
. Respect the facilities Home and away
4.2 I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club, County FA or The FA:
4.3 I may:
• Be asked to apologise whoever I have upset for my actions . • Receive a formal warning from the coach or the club committee
• Be dropped or substituted
• Be suspended from training
• Be required to leave the club.
4.4 In addition:
• My club, County FA or The FA may make my parent or carer aware of any infringements of the Code of Conduct
• The FA/County FA could impose a fine and suspension against my club.
Section 4 - CODE OF CONDUCT (ADULT PLAYERS)
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
As a player, you have a big part to play. That’s why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.
4.1 When playing football, ON AND OFF THE FIELD :
• Stick to the rules and celebrate the spirit of the game
• Always show respect to everyone involved in the game
• Never engage in public criticism of the match officials and abide by their final decisions
• Win or lose with dignity. Consider Shake hands at the end of the game
• Be aware of the potential impact of bad language on others. • Never engage in abusive language , bullying or intimidating behaviour .

4.2 I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club, County FA or The FA:
4.3 I may:

Section 5 - CODE OF CONDUCT (PARENTS/SPECTATORS/CARERS)
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
CJFC is supporting The FA’s Respect programme to ensure football can be enjoyed in a safe, positive environment. Remember children’s football is a time for them to develop their technical, physical, tactical and social skills. Winning isn’t everything.
Play your part and observe The FA’s Respect Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers at all times.
5.1 I will:
• Have fun, it is what we’re all here for !
• Celebrate effort and good play from both sides
• Always respect the referee and coaches, encourage players to do the same.
• Stay behind the touchline and within the designated Spectators Area (where provided)
• When players make mistakes, offer them encouragement to try again next time.
• Never engage in, or tolerate offensive Insulting or abusive language or behaviour
• I will make myself familiar with safeguarding practices & review guidance on physical contact (5,6) & acceptable Behaviours when working with young People (5,7) documents on the safeguarding section of Englandfootball.com .
5.2 I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club, County FA, league or
The FA:
5.3 I may be:
• Issued with a verbal warning or asked to leave
• Required to meet with the club committee, league or County FA Welfare Officer
• Obliged to undertake an FA education course
• Obliged to leave the match venue by the club

• Requested by the club not to attend future games be Suspended or have my club membership removed
• Required to leave the club along with any dependents and or issued with a fine
5.4 In addition:
• The FA/County FA could impose a fine and/ or suspension on the club. Which the club would ask the parent to cover the cost of any fine imposed
SECTION 6 CODE OF CONDUCT COACHES, TEAM MANAGERS AND CLUB OFFICIALS
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
In The FA’s survey of 37,000 grassroots participants, behaviour was the biggest concern in the game. This included the abuse of match officials and the unacceptable behaviour of over competitive parents, spectators and coaches on the sideline.
Play your part and observe The Football Association’s Respect Code of Conduct in everything you do.
6.1 On and off the field, I will:
• Show respect to everyone involved in the game
• Stick to the rules and celebrate the spirit of the game
• Encourage Fair Play and high standards of behaviour
• Always respect the referee and encourage players to do the same
• Never enter the field of play without the referee’s permission • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
• Be aware of the potential impact of bad language on others . Be Gracious in victory and defeat

6.2 When working with players, I will:
• Place the well-being, safety and enjoyment of each player above everything, including winning

• Never engage in or tolerate any form of bullying
• Ensure all activities are suited for the players ability and age. • work with Others (e.g. officials , doctors, welfare officers , Physiotherapists) for each players best Interest
Develop mutual trust and respect with every player to build their self-esteem
• Encourage each player to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance
• Co-operate fully with others in football (e.g. officials, doctors, physiotherapists, welfare officers) for each player’s best interests.

6.3 I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club, County FA, league or
The FA:
• Required to meet with the club committee, league or CFA Welfare Officer
• Suspended by the club from attending matches
• Suspended or fined by the County FA
• Required to leave my position and or have my FACA (FA Coaches Association) membership withdrawn
