WEEKEND ROUND UP - 12 January 2025

Another weekend disrupted by the weather with 10 games getting the go ahead.

The UNDER 13’s GREENS made the longest trip of the season as they made their way over the Solent to face IOW Eagles.

The game saw Evie Burchmore make her 150th appearance for the club while Ellie Moore played her 50th game for the club.

Despite going down 4-1 to the league leaders, the girls enjoyed their trip to the island with Eve Summerill earning herself a packet of Haribos from the hosts after being named player of the match while Florence Ambrozie scored for the team.

The UNDER 13’s WHITES were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat at AFC Lakeside.

While the UNDER 11’s WHITES were also at AFC Lakeside but did manage to get on the scoresheet with Teddy Guymer and Seb Hill on target with Max Le Page player of the match.

Jake O’Donnell converted a Frankie Duffill assist for the UNDER 11’s REDS against Broughton with the former also picking up player of the match.

Teddy Robinson made his 250th app in the UNDER 12’s WHITES friendly at Whitchurch.

The UNDER 8’s WHITES also travelled to Whitchurch United in an end of end game.

Player of the match Jacob Elder was on target as was Evan Wright, and Ellis Hart.

The UNDER 10’s REDS faced PDC with Toby Woodhouse-Smith converting a penalty after Oli Golden was tripped in the box.

They had to wait towards the end of their second goal of the game when the tenuous Henry Bowyer smashed home a left footed effort in to the bottom corner.

Player of the match went to Oli Golden improvement on his passing and moving.

The UNDER 7’s REDS were involved in a really competitive encounter against Braishfield Bees.

Arlo Watts scored twice with Evie Provan also on target and picking up player of the match.

The UNDER 7’s WHITES faced Worthys Reds and gave debuts to Teddy Oakley and William Shirras.

Both teams were evenly matched having played each other twice before Christmas and this proved another close affair.

Ruben Smith opened the scoring with a crisp first time volley, set up by Alexander Delgado-Kemp.

Ethan Glanville scored twice before Worthys came back into the game.

Some brave tackling and hard work from all members of the team ensuring Worthys were denied further goals while Player of the match went to Delgado-Kemp for some excellent goal keeping, passing and tackling.

The UNDER 11’s SUNDAY team had a difficult morning at Bemerton HH Oranges with Eric Howland on target and Owen Storm picked up player of the match.

The SUNDAY senior team went down 1-0 to an early goal away to the Village Freehouse.
