Classic game of 2 half's

Bromsgrove Sporting 1 – 1 Cleethorpes Town
A place at Wembley in the final of the FA Vase is at stake on Saturday at Bradley after the sides played the first leg, which was a game of two halves as Cleethorpes fought back against the host’s in the second half to leave the tie finally balanced ahead the 2nd leg on 18th March.
Cleethorpes went into the game in fine form against a side with equally good form as the crowd of 3300 was there with 200 traveling fans from Cleethorpes. The first half saw the host kick downhill on the slope on the pitch, which Cleethorpes appeared to struggle on as the hosts dominated the first half.
Cleethorpes had a warning in the opening minutes as a free kick into the box saw Cowley head over inside the penalty area. Another let off for Cleethorpes saw Cowley again charge down a clearance from Higton in the Cleethorpes goal to put the ball in the net but was disallowed as the referee gave a foul as Cowley handballed as he charged down the ball. It was third time lucky for the Sporting attacker has he met a ball from the bye line to head home as the home crowd went wild.
Cleethorpes were trying to get forward on the counter attack but the better chances were coming to Sporting as they continued to press forward as they had control of the half, despite the efforts of Cleethorpes but just before the break a ball from wide saw the ball find Marc Cooper who’s effort was blocked in front of goal.
The 2nd half saw Cleethorpes come out and gradually take control of the second half and it was not long as Oglesby slipped the ball into the path of Lowe who drove to the bye line and his ball across the face of the net was knocked home by the unfortunate Edwards to score a own goal.
Cleethorpes continued to grow in the game as second half sub Richardson connected well to force a fine save from the Sporting keeper. At the other end the Cleethorpes defence were proving there worth as they were repelling any attacks from the hosts. Cleethorpes so nearly came back with the lead in the 1st leg as Winn ball through to Cooper and as Cooper advanced to strike the ball, as a last ditch challenge sent the ball away from the goal for a corner.
The players have given themselves a great opportunity in the 2nd leg but they will not under estimate there opponents come the 18th
