The first goal of the game happened after around 15 minutes, as a good ball into the box was headed past Higton by Rippon to give Handsworth the lead.
Not long after, Handsworth went close again as Higton made a terrific to save to deny Handsworth’s number 9, after he was put through on goal but couldn’t beat Higton.
At around the 40th minute of the game, Handsworth had the ball in the back of the net again, however the goal was ruled to be offside by the linesman.
Just before half time, the Owls went close, as a great save by the Handsworth shot stopper denied Andy Taylor’s effort from inside the 6 yard box.
After the break, Handsworth doubled the lead, as Handsworth forward Froggatt broke through the Clee defence to slot the ball past Higton and into the bottom corner of the net.
Andy Taylor went close again in the second half but he was denied by the goalkeeper, as he got in behind the defence but his effort was saved by the Handsworth keeper.
It was another good workout for the Owls, despite the result the players got some valuable minutes under their belts ahead of the new season.
