There was very few chances in the early parts of the game for either sides, as both teams were trying to get the upper hand in midfield.
The first chance for the Owls came in the 15th minute, as Danny North’s powerful effort was blocked by the Frickley goalkeeper.
The rest of the half was even and no great chances for either side, both teams were looking solid at the back.
At the beginning of the second half, Frickley took the lead, as a corner into the Cleethorpes box was headed in by Steve Hopewell.
Just before the 70th minute, Cleethorpes equalised as Liam Davis was brought down in the box and Danny North made no mistake from the penalty spot to level the score.
Frickley almost reclaimed the lead just a couple of minutes after North’s goal, as a long throw into the box was headed on to the post by the Frickley attacker.
In the final stages of the game, the Owls took the lead as defender Laurence McKay fired the ball into the net, to send the traveling Clee Town fans home happy.
It was a fantastic result for the Owls after coming back from a goal behind to win the game.
