Our first of 19 away Evostik East fixture takes us on the relatively short journey to West Yorkshire on Tuesday evening to play Ossett United.
This is the inaugural campaign for United, following the merger of long-standing Clubs Town and Albion respectively. They look sure to be strong and, as this is their initial competitive home match, backed by a large crowd. Ossett opened with a 3-1 win at Loughborough Dynamo on the opening weekend, with a brace from Aiden Chippendale and a goal for Adam Priestley.
We, of course, were held 1-1 by our Lincolnshire neighbours Spalding United. Not the most fluent of displays but very early days and, with all our new signings, it may take a little while for everyone to settle down. Brody Robertson (pictured in the process of scoring at Kidsgrove Athletic) ensured a share of the spoils with a 78th minute equaliser.
So, it has all the makings of an exciting encounter. The supporters' bus is now full but for anyone driving, I have outlined the recommended route and admission details below:

- follow A180 / M180 / M18(east) / M62 (west)
- leave M62 at J29 and join M1 (south)

- take junction marked "Flushdyke/Ossett/Low Laithes"
- after 0.6 miles, turn left onto "Dale Street"
- after 0.3 miles, turn left onto "Prospect Road"
