" This week, we would like to offer a warm Clock Face welcome to Oulton Raiders, who arrive at Crawford Street hungry for two more league points in their race to confirm a place in the playoffs, with only two games to go for them. Oulton has been an excellent, consistent team over the last two seasons, constantly near the top of the league and being competitive with all the opposition that they come up against.

We would also like to send a thinking of you and get well soon message out to Wigan St Pats back row forward Phil Glover, who suffered some awful injuries to his knee last week. Our thoughts are with you Phil, and we wish you a full and speedy recovery from all at Clock Face Miners ARLFC.

Team changes abound this week as we welcome skipper Lewis Geraghty back into the fold, but this game is deputising at 9 for Kenny Hughes. Having Gez back sees Jack Graham reverting to his usual 13 slots in the middle of the pitch. The right wing may also see the return of a club stalwart in Michael Carney; he will be vying with Luke Leyden for this week's two jerseys. We are also hopeful that this week will see the return of our outstanding young gun, Harrison Rigby, to our ranks. The Warrington Wolves Academy player has offered some outstanding contributions to our efforts off the bench this season, and his inclusion in the squad for our last three games will be a big boost to all of the other boys.

The Clock Face Miners 'Great Escape' is still on, with us fighting for every point that we can get our mitts on whilst we are accepting the challenge of Oulton, other survival hopefuls, Stanningley and Hull Dockers. We will be holding fixtures against league leaders Waterhead and Dewsbury Moor, respectively. The results will be interesting to view come 4 pm on Saturday.

Good luck tonight to the lads who have worked hard in organising the Race Night at the club. It should prove to be a great night with all invited to come along for the 5 pm start and have a good craic and help to raise a few quid towards the pre-season training.

Take care, be kind, and keep smiling:

Lee Cunningham
