1. What’s the feeling in the camp heading in to the weekend?
Well after last weekends embarrassing performance it’s not brilliant. We’ve been poor the last few weeks and everyone knows we need to sort it out quickly.
In all honesty I think it’s exactly the type of game the players need, no one can hide and everyone has to pull their acts together and dig out a performance.
2. How would you sum up our start to the season so far?
Poor. We’ve been far too inconsistent and we find ourselves mid way down the table and out of one cup already (FAW Trophy) which we’ve done extremely well in previous seasons.
We’ve had some brilliant performances, the Llani and Welshpool ones spring to mind, but unfortunately they’ve haven’t been that often and the reality is we’ve had far more poor performances than good. We’ve been way below par and everyone knows it. I’ll be looking for a reaction over next few games or there’ll be some changes made.
3. We knocked out Llandod in the last round, what do you remember about that game?
That was one of the poor performances I mentioned earlier. We didn’t deserve to win the game but we just got over the line. Not much more to say about it.
4. How did the lads train this week in preparation for Saturday?
To be fair to the lads they worked hard. If they carry that effort in to the game we’ll be fine but too often we train well then the levels drops on a Saturday. It’ll be up to them to show if the hard work was worth it on Tuesday.
5. What do you know about our opponents?
Not a lot to be honest. I know they had a very good season last year and they didn’t have the best start to this season but after the draw was made I’ve kept and eye on them and I’ve seen they have made a few signings and the results have been very good. I’m expecting to come up against a real quality side that will like to play football.
Everyone is looking forward to welcoming them to TY Brith.
6. How much are you looking forward to Saturday’s game?
Well we’re not in the best form at the moment but for the lads they should absolutely buzzing for it. These are the type of games every player wants to play in. A real test against good quality opposition.
If the lads can’t get up for a game like this then there is a serious problem. If we play how I know we can then there’s no reason why we can win.
