In 2014 everyone at the club was saddened to learn of the untimely death of Gary Powers, one of our players, father. Gary was a committed football fan, travelling regularly to watch his beloved Newcastle United and even though Cockerham play in Red & White stripes, he was an ever present, enthusiastic, helper and supporter of the club.

In Gary's memory, his family presented the club with a Trophy that will be awarded annually to the Club's Most Supportive Parent.
