The Football Association have announced the provisional line-ups for 2019/20 with the U.C.L Premier Division having five changes to its constitution. We also have a new league sponsor with well known football kit supplier UHLSPORT taking over and shall be known as the UHLSPORT UNITED COUNTIES FOOTBALL LEAGUE for the duration of their sponsorship.

The new clubs to the division are Lutterworth Town, Anstey Nomads, Loughborough University, Quorn AFC and Shepshed Dynamo and are all Leicestershire based as the league continues to move northwards on its axis. Lutterworth and Anstey are both promoted from Division One, while the other three are moved sideways from the Total Motion Midland League Premier Division. Loughborough University will be playing in the UCL for the first time, but the other two will be starting their second spell after playing just one season around seven years ago before being swapped straight back.
We lose promoted champions Daventry Town and relegated pair Whitworth (to Division One) and Kirby Muxloe (to the East Midland Counties League). The other two sides both make the sideways step to the Spartan South Midlands League as Eynesbury Rovers and Newport Pagnell Town wave us goodbye, for the time being at least.

Division one sees two new teams join as Whittlesey Athletic move up from the Peterborough League and Saffron Dynamo come up as champions of the Leicestershire Senior League. Saffron are based to the south of Kirby Muxloe who are moved to the EMCL. They join relegated Whitworth, but last season’s bottom markers Thrapston Town are relegated to the Northants Combination.
