It was a fitting tribute to the 'Famous Five' Coney Hill Boys that played on Wednesday 17th August @ Hartpury against Saracens that their club captain, Jordan Hancock scored the first try - It was a 5 metre lineout which was thrown in and secured by the Gloucester forwards for Jordan Hancock to direct the driving maul over the Sarries line for a great score.
The match was divided into three 20 minute sessions.
Clayton Dee also scored his first points for Gloucester by way of two conversions.
I am biased but anyway Gloucester were winning by 3 tries to one into the second period when all the Coney Hill boys were replaced and Sarries scored 3 tries to take the lead - not just my opinion that our boys are great but the scoreboard reinforces it aswell!!! Final score 24 - 19 to Sarries.
Our boys:- Jordan Douglas, Joe Gare, Jordan Hancock, Lewis Connors & Clayton Dee were utterly superb and all thoroughly deserve their inclusion in the Gloucester Academy squad.
Well done lads you have made your club, family, friends & coaches extremely proud of you all.
