We are delighted to announce that Dr David Adams has signed a two year consultancy agreement with Connah's Quay Nomads Academy and football club for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns.
David is an experienced coach educator having worked with many current managers such as Roberto Martinez, Tony Pulis, Garry Monk and currently works on UEFA Professional License educating the next generation of elite coaches with the FAW Trust.
David holds the UEFA Professional License and a PhD in coach effectiveness.
He was Head of Academy Coaching at Swansea City Football Club, leading the club to achieve Category 1 status in 2016 while also working alongside Alan Curtis as joint manager of Swansea City first team during 2015-2016 when the team finished 12th in the Premier League.
More recently David worked alongside Garry Monk at Middlesbrough Football Club and was also Head of Coaching at Everton FC.
David has already aided the club massively in producing the new youth phase in season curriculum for the new campaign, working alongside myself.
I have been fortunate enough to undertake the UEFA A youth and UEFA Pro License over recent years which David has aided and ran and I am so excited about this addition in pushing forward Nomads Academy even more.
His knowledge, experience and professionalism will be of immense benefit to the club and our young players I have not doubt, and this is one of the most exciting additions to the football club in recent years.
Alongside aiding our curriculum, David will be running three in house coach education events each season at the football club, working directly with all staff and aiding the new curriculum being implemented at the football club.
A warm welcome to David from all at the Nomads and we look forward to seeing him at our first coach education in house event in the coming months.
