“We all wish to thank Darren for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him every success for the future.” said the clubs Vice-Chairman Darren Cartwright. "He’s a great guy and its a shame that results and performances haven’t gone as we had all hoped. This club is geared towards achieving success and the search will now begin for a new manager to take the club forward.”
Darren Moss said: “I would like to thank everyone at the club for giving me a chance. I have really enjoyed my time as manager and have learnt alot.
"It's a results game and our start to the season has not been good enough. But I am sure that the players will turn it around. It's never easy when this situation happens but myself and the chairman have alot of respect for each other.
“Finally, I would also like to thank all the players and wish everyone good luck for the rest of the season."
After taking over from Chris Herbert in December '13, Moss guided the team to runners-up spot in the Huws Gray Alliance last season. To date, Conwy Borough have won four, drawn once, and lost five of the opening ten games this season with four losses coming at home and have also been knocked out of the Word Cup and Huws Gray Cup. The team currently lies in 12th place in the Huws Gray Alliance, 12 points off the top spot. The club are still in the Welsh Cup with a Second Round game at home to Denbigh next weekend.
Moss’s assistant, Aden Shannon, has agreed to assume a caretaker-manager role and will be assisted by Academy Director Chris Whitley for Wednesday nights away trip to Flint Town (KO 7.30pm).
