Ex Wales under 21,s midfielder Levi Mackin has become Chris Herbert's 4th summer signing.

Mackin a former Wales U21, Wrexham, York City and Chester midfielder agreed terms to sign for the Musselmen for the 2013/14 season today after turning down opputunities to move to welsh premier league and back to the English system. 25 year old Mackin played a big part in Wrexham's promotion to league one a few years back, before moving to York City in the conference. He was used as a versatile player at Chester last season before a january move to Bangor City. Levi also started in the Wales u21 fixture against the Republic of Ireland. Herbert could not hold back his delight at signing the influential midfielder.
"Levi is a top drawer player, i rate him as one of the best midfielders in welsh football, to get someone like Levi in at Conwy is a coup for the club, and adds real class to a already strong midfield. Levi will create and add goals to our team. Im really excited about the coming season now. Keegs (John Keegan) and myself had a plan to have our main targets signed up and commited before pre season starts, we are nearlly done now and we will be ready to hit the ground running as soon as pre season starts".
Mackin is also relishing the challenge he has in front of him at Conwy by saying:
Im really looking forward to getting going with Conwy, ive been speaking to Chris for a while now and his ideas and ambition made my decision quite easy, the club has set its sights high and we want to get in to the welsh premier league sooner rather than later, and im sure with the lads already at the club and the lads Chris is getting in we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.
Levi will wear squad number 6 for the up and coming 2013/14 season.
