Corby, took to the field with the bare minimum this weekend due to injuries and work commitments....
A big thank you to every one involved Saturday
The less said about the first half the better, a young and talented Bedford side exposed holes in the Corby defence at will for the 1st 30 minutes, you could clearly see this was the teams first game this season.
Disarray and arguing did not help, however Corby finally woke up on 30 minutes and started to play and give Bedford some resistance.
1st half over don't know how many try's down, second half a chance to restore pride and that we certainly did Corby hungrier and keeping the ball well, forwards was the call keeping the pill with them proved fruit-full gaining valuable ground into Bedford's 22
Penalty conceded, and quick reactions saw Andy Findlay Jnr stopped inches from the line, with an offload to Clinton who finished off this instinctive bit of play. The extras where missed from the conversion attempt.
From there on in Corby proved and provided more resistance for Bedford however substantiations for the visitors was clear was paying dividends with the tiring Corby team and few lacks in concentration in the make shift back line for the day and some intercept try's where scored.
Something to build on in the coming weeks, we have Kettering 4th's at home next in the first league match of the season, please can I have your availability ASAP.
See you all at training on Tuesday and Thursday
