In what was a fantastic game to play in and watch. Both teams giving it everything and cancelling each other out in the first both teams defence stood firm.
Some great running lines by the backs directed brilliantly by the 10 Steve Moore, Simon and James had some good punchy runs.
With the forwards working hard in the scrum compared with last week and so big hits being put in defence notably by Jobby from the first Half time 0-0.

All to play for and Corby upbeat the second half started in the same vein as the first both teams cancelling each other out.
Then First points on the board to Kettering penalty conceded with in easy kicking distance, the way the game was panning out could have been the only points.
But this only caused Corby to up their game, form the restart Corby immediately gain a turn over and were on the front foot, then after keeping possession well the break through for Corby Simon getting his try and now game on, Simon added the extras 7-3.

Some more General play and cancelling each other out resulted the ball staying in the middle of the park, then came possibly the turning point, injury to James and Matt, clash of chin to head, James was looking chilled lying there elbow down, (drinking pina colada's) off with concussion, Matt on the other hand split his head open with the great bandage work from Paul off he went to A and E - 9 stitches for him.

Kettering Gave Corby a player to make sides 15 each with Corby only having 1 sub.

Kettering must have turned off while the injuries were getting sorted, play continued and Corby seemed to want to take the initiative and win this game, Corby Keeping Kettering penned in their 22, on came the countless attempts to finish one pass away of white line fever, Kettering conceding the penalties great move should have payed off forward dummy run straight to the back for a 4 on 1 run in and knocked on contender for DOD

Kettering clear their lines and then Simon struck again from attacking Kettering ball a turn over for Simon to sprint clear for his second of the day.

12-3 conversion missed game was running on down with Corby threatening to score, Andy Findlay Jnr sprinting clear only to be brought back rightfully for a head injury to a Kettering player.

The final score came with the last play of the day with Martin S sprinting clear form the 10 meter line, for his legs to wobble to dive over the line in a failed swan dive.

Great game great to get the win this is the spring board for Corby to push on this season.
