Plenty of Non League Clubs in Coventry that would appreciate your support

The decision has now been made, Coventry City will now as expected be playing their home games 22 miles away in Birmingham.

Coventry has 6 teams that play in the Midland Football league, this is a decent level covering steps 5,6,7,8 of the football league pyramid - some of these teams have a great history in our City.

Why not come and have a look at a local team - the level is good, the passion is there, its very affordable, and very sociable too.

Any extra support is always welcome.

We take no joy in the sad situation of our professional team not playing in Coventry, many of us have been City fans for over 50 years, nothing would make us happier than to see the Sky Blues playing in Coventry and back in the Premier league.

We are not asking anyone to change club, we are not trying to replace Coventry City, we are hoping that one or two City fans might come down to Allard Way to see what it’s all about - we are a young side that’s developing - all of our boys are from Coventry & Warwickshire, and although many other teams in our league and below pay their players we don’t - we have to try a develop our own from local clubs or within our youth ranks.

These lads would love the extra support.

Our New manager Neil Collett is a ex Coventry City goalkeeper, and he and his assistant Joe Connelly are focussed on bringing in some great young talent, we have some very strong links with a number of local football educational academies.

Coventry Copsewood FC

Coventry Copsewood we’re formed in 1922 in Coventry by the workers of Peel Connor, later due to the company changing hands they would become GEC, GPT then Marconi.

Our home at Allard Way in Binley is the home of many sports and activities.

Football, Junior Football, Netball, Golf, Bowls, Cricket, Rifle Club, Archery Club.

We have our own clubhouse that a great selection of drinks, serves hot food and has Sky Sports, we also have a pitchside cafe.

Our grounds are vast with plenty of grass for the kids to kick a ball around safely, while you enjoy a drink on our outside balcony.

We have some pre season friendlies planned (dates below) why not come along and take in a game or two.
