The deal, which will initially cover the 2011 and 2012 seasons, will see the Midlands Rugby League Merit League, Junior Leagues, 9s Tournament and Origin Series take the 3v Sport brand.

Although only having been established as a regional playing league two years ago, the Midlands Rugby League enters its sixth season as a competition this summer, with another year of increase entries, demonstrating the steps forward that Rugby League has taken in the Midlands. In addition to the Mens league, the competition has run activity for three Junior age groups which is set to expand to five age groups for the 2011 season.
