Match Preview - Coventry Sphinx v Rocester

Next up at Sphinx Drive
In recent times, the matches between these two clubs have been full of goals and entertainment and we expect this match up to be no different. The Staffordshire club have already played Coventry Sphinx in the league this season and a dramatic stoppage winner gave Sphinx all three points at Hillsfield. Last season Sphinx won 4-1 away at Rocester then Sphinx Drive hosted an eight goal thriller with the sides sharing the points in a 4-4 draw.
The last Coventry Sphinx fixture was a cup match against West Bromwich Albion and Sphinx gave the Premier League youngsters a good game but ultimately slipped to a 3-1 defeat. The previous weekend, Lee Knibbs got his reign off to an ideal start with a 2-1 victory against South Normanton Athletic. Rocester may find themselves at the wrong end of the table but they have already proven they are well capable of getting a result against anyone on their day. A few weeks ago they came to Coventry and took a point away from Coventry Utd and at the start of the season they took Bromsgrove to a replay in the FA Cup.
ADMISSION: Adults £6, Concession £4, Under 16’s FREE.
BAR FACILITIES: Our clubhouse is located adjacent to the car park before you enter the turnstiles and here you will find a well-stocked bar showing live sport with an outdoor seating area. Our clubhouse also houses the toilet facilities which can be found on your right as soon as you enter the building through the main entrance. Tomorrow we will be screening Liverpool v Manchester United and that kicks off at 12.30pm so why not arrive early an enjoy the big game with a drink.

VENUE: Sphinx Drive, Stoke, Coventry, CV3 1WA
TRAVEL: Coventry train station is a short taxi journey away or a 30 minute walk. Any bus service that uses the Binley Road will also take you to Sphinx Drive. Get off the bus opposite the Bulls Head Pub and walk down Bulls Head Lane at the side of the pub. Then turn right just after the New Inn Pub to continue on Bulls Head Lane. Take the second left into Siddeley Avenue and after 50 yards turn left into Sphinx Drive which will take you up to our ground.
PARKING: We offer FREE parking at Sphinx Drive but please arrive in good time to ensure you get a space.
