The Club are pleased to announce the appointment of long serving player Eifion Williams as the first team manager for the forthcoming 2020/2021 Season.

The forthcoming season will be Eifion’s seventeenth consecutive season at the Club. Eifion stepped up from the Club’s Juniors into the first team squad in August 2004.

During the sixteen seasons to date at the club Eifion has made five hundred and thirty four appearances for the first team, while scoring seventeen goals as a defender and gaining thirty five ‘Man of The Match Awards’.

United Chairman Emyr Pritchard commented:
‘I am as everybody else as at Llanrug United delighted that Eifion has agreed to be our manager, he has been a very valuable asset for the Club for a long period and a very highly respected player and he will be a tremendous asset as a manger to Llanrug United Football Club’.

Eifion Williams commented:
’I am delighted and very proud to have the opportunity to be manager of Llanrug United. I have a lot of friends at the Club, they are a truly friendly and superb club. The club officials, management and the supporters have been excellent to me for many seasons I owe them a lot and I have truly enjoyed every minute at the club. We have a few exciting youngsters in our squad and I look forward to the new season’.

Eifion has move swiftly to appoint his management team, former club manager and highly respected long serving former player David Noel Williams and former Reserves team manager Phil Lynes.
