With the gaffer away in Blackpool on a dirty weekend, Islwyn Bonc took charge for todays derby against the almighty Darans .

Kick off under away and Felin seem to start the sluggish team - the Darans no doubt pumped up following a famous Jason Baylis team talk.

15 minutes into the game and Felin took advantage of some lapse defending. A great team goal saw Rhodri Dafydd playing the ball wide to Pob who delivered a great cross back post to an unmarked Gruff John. Gruff nodding in from close range.

It seemed that first goal inspired Felin to take the game to the Darans - Llanberis not getting a second on the ball without a red shirt biting away at their heels.

Felin soon doubled their lead. Martin Hughes 'seemed' to have been fouled on the outskirts of the box - a free-kick awarded which Hughes casually bended into the bottom left corner.

Again Felin reaked havoc down the flanks, Gruff John now turning provider, crossing the ball to a yet again unmark fela Chris Brown, Brown tapping into an open goal.

Seconds before the break and Felin were yet again awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box. Gruff John taking ownership, doubled his tally for the day, beating the keeper from the tightest of angles.

Halftime 4-0.

Felin continued the second half as they ended the first. Gruff John given time and space to strike the ball from outside the box managed to catch the keeper off-guard to complete his hatrick.

A great run by El-Capitano Al Pob resulted im a penalty being awarded following a reckless challenge in the box. Penalty duties were handed to Martin Hughes, smashing it home to make it 6-0.

The introduction of the Hitman soon resulted in the downfall of Llanbers defence. The Darans conceding a soift corners, Hughes again in the right place at the right time to complete his first hatrick of his career.

The headlines may be lost to the hatrick heroes but a mention needs to be made to Rhys Edwards who throughout the game commanded and dominated his box. Pulling off one of the finest saves that I have seem to date to deny the Darans a munch needed goal.

Yet again a solid home performance by Felinheli, the Darans demonstrating the lack of quality required to survive the Gwynedd League. A great performance demonstrated by Felinheli which needs to be consistent every week.
