The boys did really well and despite being a Cranbrook team of mainly year 4s up against a Castle Hill team mainly of year 5s, they competed well. Cranbrook bowled first and all the bowlers did well, a few wides here and there but a number of wickets shared around and a great one handed catch by Xavi Elms. Batting was a bit more of a struggle, not that many wickets were lost but we struggled to score many and ultimately it led to Cranbrook losing by about 30 runs.
Cranbrook Bowler of the Match – Hugh Elms (3 wkts)
Cranbrook Batsman of the Match – Felix Maidment (10 runs)
Thank you to Castle Hill! Very hospitable and the match was played in a good spirit. All in all, a good morning’s work for the boys.
