Hi All,

A fantastic evening's cricket in our first game of the season. Losing the toss, we were asked to bat and, on a slow pitch, made 116 from our 20 overs. A fine 30 from Fin Sprent and 19 from Bryan Larkin helped us build a defendable score.

Goudhurst went off like a train, their openers hitting anything loose hard. Some great bowling from Peters Sprent and Wain bought the run rate down and all bowlers made a strong contribution. Bryan's great evening continued in the field as he grabbed two catches and took 2 vital wickets in the closing stages. Goudhurst required 28 from the final four overs - Bryan and Barnaby Webster bowled well with Barnaby taking the final wicket to end Goudhurst's innings in the final over at 106 and a good win in a competitive game.

A fine tea and well deserved beer were provided by Mandy and we look forward to out next fixture on Wed 30th June at home to Benenden.
