Ulverston Rangers were the better side in the first half against a Crooklands side that was very disappointing.

Andy Whiteford put the home side ahead after 23 minutes with an exceptional strike from 22 yards. It was a goal fit to win any game and so it proved.

Crooklands were thankful to Ben Sowerby for keeping the score down to 1-0.

As the game progressed Cassies finally woke up and began to look more dangerous . They were always pushing for an equaliser until the end but it wasn't to be.

Ben Sowerby was the star man for Crooklands in a game best forgotten.
