A bright new chapter in the story of football in Crowle began on Tuesday January 30th 2024. Adi Sherwood turned on the floodlights which will illuminate the Godnow Road pitch for years to come. The first game - a Challenge Cup tie against Grimsby Borough Reserves - ended in a two-one victory for Crowle Colts with goals from Liam Snow and Kurt Robinson, although the glory of the scoring the first goal under the lights goes to Grimsby's Kyle Radford.
Adi played a major part in the arrival of the lights and the club would like to place on record its thanks to him, Julie Reed, North Lincolnshire Council, SSE Keadby Wind Farm Fund, Crowle Town Council, Crowle and Ealand Playing Field Association, and volunteers from the Colts Football Club. We would also like to thank Abacus Lighting for the installation of the lights as well as their helpful advice on how to approach this superb project.
