U14's 2017/18 Award Winners

A season where the squad have progressed and improved throughout!

Player awards
Most improved;
Finley Ludlow. Continued to improve and be more influential in matches, attitude and fitness over the whole season. Very intelligent footballer

Parents Player;
Ethan Ritchie. Popular choice and well deserved for taking on an outfield defensive role and building a great rapport with the defenders

Players Player;
Mattie Croydon. A lot of boys were in contention which is great to see, but Mattie edged it and was a the deserved winner...out captain fantastic!

Coaches player Special mentions:-
Ben Knight, for not only integrating into the side so quickly and building a great defensive team, but for his superb distribution, great saves and for one of the best league defensive records. Well done for achieving first ever clean sheet in 11v11!

Charlie Fegan, for his composure and driving the team from midfield. Great attitude and helped many of the boys to raise their game and build confidence, a real leader on the pitch

Coaches Player;
Dominic Miller. His attitude and focus in both training and matches is fantastic. He's scored three goals and has multiple assists all from a full back position. His goal celebration V Abingdon Youth still to this day make me smile

Goal Scorer awards;
Finley Ludlow and Oscar Evan arejoint top scorers with 11 apiece. Differing types of goals from the players, Oscar the master of the lob and placed shot, Finley the poacher, always in the right place at the right time.

Special awards;
George Murphy. Our assistant coach who leaves for university. A real role model, not just for the boys but we've all benefited and learnt from his football knowledge. We’ll all miss his commitment to the club but know he’ll return and help out when he can. He’ll be a great success at whatever he chooses to do in the future. Thanks Murph!

Lino Award;
Jason Ludlow. Mister consistent. Thanks to him our games are always professionally officiated. Jason has also stepped in to referee when no official has been appointed and also helps with team warm ups

Special thank you
Stuart and Sarah Knight who have really embraced and got involved in our club, always supportive of all the boys and never miss a game or training sessio
