The Role & Operation:
Darlington Rugby Club is a leading grassroots rugby club in the North East of England. Set on the outskirts of Darlington the club boasts 5 Rugby pitches and Football pitches – home of Darlington FC and Darlington Young Bulls.
The club house has a range of spaces available for hire and the club caters for club events and offers private hire for weddings, birthdays, wakes and celebrations. The club has two large function rooms alongside a member’s lounge, boardroom and additional facilities including ample changing room provision.
Darlington Rugby Club have a range of hirers on site including archery, American football and charity events. We are looking for an operations manager to lead the business operations of the busy facility.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Being the face of Darlington Rugby Club providing a quality customer experience
• Provide food and drink service to customers for club events and occasions
• Taking food orders and working alongside kitchen staff.
• Cleaning duties in line with the role
• Supporting events and functions
• Supporting Darlington Football Club and other such partners in onsite events.
• Providing event setup and derig.
• Ensuring health and safety and licensing procedure are adhered too.
• Handling cash and card payments.
• Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and reported.
• Monitoring bar stock levels and being proactive in supporting the ordering process.
• Providing customer care and following complaints procedures
• Any other duties required with running a vibrant and busy rugby club.

Experience:
• Previous bar work experience is desired but is not essential

Work Location: In person

Wages:
18-20 £10/hr
21+ £11.50/hr
