The Darlington Bulls have always been a bit hit and miss. Seasons of promise followed by a sharp downturn in fortunes. However, so far this season that has not proven to be the case, although the first half display against Billingham had some thinking otherwise.

The team has benefitted this year from a largely stable core group of players, something that has been missing for the best part of 5 years! With a squad boasting more 1st XV experience than before, players pushing through from the 3rd XV wanting to prove themselves and a handful of new players possessing skill, flair and a hard edge there is every reason to believe the Bulls can kick on and provide a solid foundation for success this season. It won't come easy though.

The Bulls need to continue fostering the camaraderie and team spirit that has flourished so far this season and they will do great things. There is a medium term ambition to compete at a higher level but we are not quite there yet.

Keep it up lads! It all starts again this Saturday at home to Middlesbrough!!

The only piece of the jigsaw missing now is for the team manager to put the match reports up!
