Led by Ray Houghton, Royal Navy PTI with support of a team from the Royal Marine Commandos
The training session will be conducted on a modular basis and include coaching in
1. Nutrition – pre, during and post exercise/playing – effect on performance and maintenance of output
2. Warm-up drills for training sessions and games – identify key issues for long term health and fitness
3. Training – stages of a session; how to get the best from a session; and, personal training as a follow on
4. Training – drills, exercises, etc.
5. Use of personal strengths – physical, mental and emotional
6. Leadership – overall, game situations and ‘play situations’
