Following on from our announcements over the past few days regarding our new & revised Coaching & Support teams for the 2022/23 Season, today we are delighted to announce a further appointment in our Senior Coaching team.

Luke Fielden has lived & breathed rugby his whole life. From his early playing days in Cambridge, he went onto play professional rugby for Cambridge, Bedford Blues, Newcastle Falcons and England sevens. He played across the back line but predominantly in the back 3. A career ending knee injury cut his playing career short but allowed him to transition into a teaching career at Colfe’s School, Greenwich. He Coached Old Colfeians senior side achieving promotion to London 1 in his first season as Head Coach, but had stopped due to family commitments.

Although we will not have Luke with us at every training session and gameday, because of his commitment to his young family, we are genuinely grateful for the time he can spare to pass on his proven, top-level knowledge and help the senior squads, with a specific focus on backplay.
He will join the existing Coaching team of David Wiggins as DOR, George Flatman as Player/Coach (23/24 1st XV Head Coach) and Barry De Jager as Assistant Backs Coach.
