Town were unfortunate to still be without Burgess, Amory, Taylor and Berwick (who had injured his back again before the kick off). But you would never of known as we took the game to the league leaders for the first 35 minutes. Town passed well and fluently, fought for every ball and in general made life very difficult for a very good St Neots team.

St Neots finished the first half by creating some good opportunities but they all came to nothing, Town had previosuly had several shots that just went straight to Duggan. But at the end of the half Robinson (who along with Cross had held the ball up very well) got free and shot past Duggan into the corner of the net, a great finish but he was offside. That would have been what the Town deserved.

Second half saw St Neots start the stronger and were imposing themselves a little more on the game. Parkinson, who was playing very well, was injured and replaced by new signing Kazaboni. This meant that the Town had to re adjust the defence and without a suitable replacement had to go to 4-4-2. This turned the game in St Neots favour as Mackey and Moore started to work winto better areas and it wasn't long before Moore scored a 35 yard shot past Mellings. A fantastic goal for St Neots and from that moment they grew more and more into a Championship winning team, passing the ball well and fighting for everything. Moore scored a penalty not long after and Jacob scored a goal to put St Neots 3-0 up. Town rallied and came back with Milligan hitting the outside of the post.
Hicks shot wide twice and Thomson shot straight at Duggan as Town tried to get something out the game. Confue had a weak shot go straight to Duggan after working his way through the defence but the game ended with St Neots winning 3-0.

At the end of the day I feel we could have got something out the game, some really good performances and nobody let the side down. As for St Neots Junior Kanudu totally changed the game when he came on for them 3 quarters through the first half. he held the ball so well and is destined for better things going forward.
