Wildcats bounce back from loss with a come from behind victory

Frank Ford13 May 2015 - 18:13

Early goal given and knotted at half, team scrapped for winning goal in second half.

Two goals by Ben Chisum and freshman Tyler Schardein's lone goal enough to take care of Atlee.
A battle for the #1 seed proved to be a game to see.
Atlee came out and put up the early goal before Schardein came on and headed home the equalizer. Earlier, Jack Bobitz cleaned up for a goal but the linesman called it off. Chisum put us back up front with a great run and super header before the long ball into our half and a slip in the back allowed for their forward to beat our goalie with a wonderful finish.
The wildcats came out and put up a quick goal with another finish by Chisum that proved to be the game winner.
After the goal the team settled in and kept the ball much better and had many chances that they couldn't seem to find the back of the net with and the Atlee team did get a few looks and our goalie's best friend (the post) kept them from a second half goal. Tyler Shupack and Mark White were brilliant tonight on the field despite not scoring a goal.
The Deep Run soccer team goes to 8-2 and will host Patrick Henry
thursday night at home . Game time 7:30.
